The topic of this event is “Mental Health Matters: Mon Bhalo Jar, Shob Bhalo Tar.”. The event will focus on creating awareness about mental health and sharing information and resources among the South Asian community in New York. The participants in this event will include parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children and adults within the South Asian community, as well as a few special needs service providers, professionals, and community leaders. The purpose of this event is to foster a discussion on the importance of mental health and help parents and caregivers understand, accept, and take action. As the population of special needs individuals within the South Asian community grows, this event will play a critical role in helping them understand the need for support and find the appropriate resources needed for their family members.
